The Farmer's Wife 1930's Sew Along

Welcome my friends!
Announcement
Starting September 28, Angie of GnomeAngel, Fat Quarter Shop, and From Marti Michell Quilting Blog will be hosting the Farmer's Wife 1930s Sampler Quilt Sew-along! The sew-along will run for a year, and during that time, Angie and 30 guest bloggers will share different ways of making the blocks from Laurie Aaron Hird's new book, The Farmers Wife 1930s Sampler Quilt.

I am very excited and honored to announce I will be one of those Blogger's for the sew along. Woot Hoot! I loved the first book and look forward to making the 1930s quilt! It even has a hashtag #FQS1930FarmersWife

The sew along blogger's will be using different methods to complete each block. It is perfect for new as well as experienced sewist alike. Angie will be assigning blocks from the easiest to the more difficult, meaning we will be all over the book. Start out simple and learn the basic techniques before we advance to the more difficult blocks!

This is the third book by Laurie Aaron Hird and is different from the Farmer's Wife book released a few years ago. This book contains 99 blocks that do not appear in the first book.

You will need a copy of the book to be able to participate in the sew-along. The Farmer's Wife 1930s Sampler Quilt by Laurie Aaron Hird for Fons & Porter/F+W; RRP $28.99.

I would love to have you come along on this journey with us. If you are interested click around on the links and visit Gnome Angel's blog, then buy the book, join us In the Facebook Group Farmer's Wife 1930's Sampler Quilt Sew-along and started pulling fabric from your stash. It is going to be a great year!

Thank you for stopping by and following! You are the greatest!
